Night Life

When the workday is done, you want to socialise with your friends and colleagues, join the fun at Hong Kong´s trendy night districts in Lan Kwai Fong, SoHo, Wanchai, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui. A useful weekly guide to Hong Kong entertainment and nightlife is the HK Magazine, available free in selected bars and restaurants throughout Central and Wanchai. Also worth reading is the monthly publication BC Magazine or visit www.bcmagazine.net. Another free entertainment guide available at www.discoveringhongkong.com.

Lan Kwai Fong / SoHo
The cobblestone streets of Lan Kwai Fong are an action-packed fun place to hang out; a popular loose-tie, hair-down yet upscale dining and entertainment area. Select from a variety of international cuisines, chat with friends in a bar or dance till sunrise at a nightclub.

The nearby SoHo neighbourhood, just off the Central - Mid-Levels Escalator, offers multiple levels of chic restaurants and a dense concentration of relaxed bars and clubs.

Wanchai
Perhaps the most famous nightlife district in Hong Kong, Wan Chai continues to attract people looking for a place to unwind. Its variety of pubs, nightclubs and hostess bars can match any taste and many of the bars and clubs offer live music and dancing. Irish pubs, theme bars and restaurants, karaoke bars and cocktail lounges vie with fine restaurants offering an international selection of food in addition to Chinese and Asian cuisines.

Tsim Sha Tsui
The bright neon lights of Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East beckon partygoers with a paradise of fun throughout the night. For pubs, bars, and bistros, head to Knutsford Steps, Knutsford Terrace, Observatory Court, Ashley Road or Hart Avenue and Part Avenue. The fun continues in Tsim Sha Tsui East with its karaoke bars, nightclubs and hostess bars.

Causeway Bay
This entertaining district has an eclectic collection of cosy bars, lively pubs and many karaoke bars; all just step away from Causeway Bay´s shopping centres. Restaurants from almost every country line the roads, offering unparalleled choice for Hong Kong dining. Check out Yiu Wa Street near Times Square shopping mall or try Sunning road and Hoi Ping road opposite Lee Gardens shopping mall. These areas are just a short walk away from the Causeway Bay MTR Station.
